Week 29 - Peeping our little princess

Sabtu, 24 Jan.. Sebelum Raya Cina.. pegi klinik Family TTDI kat Taman Sri Manja untuk scan, semata-mata nak tau baby laki ke pompuan. Sebelum ni main agak-agak je pompuan pasal sonographer hari tu kata 'mcm pompuan'. Jadi kali ni nak betol2 kompom kan pompuan.

Pegi lepas lunch, dalam kul 1pm camtu. Dr. Rabiatul Dr. Izatul (corrected on 19Oct2010 :D) yang reti tengok perot tu ada. Tunggu sekejap jek, pastu no.0141 kena panggil. Masuk dalam bilik doktor ngan hubby, trus cakap nak scan, nak tau laki ke pompuan... doktor tu gelak2 ajek...

Dr: "Anak first ke?" - saya angguk.
Dr: "Ni mesti kes nak start beli barang le nih, nak tau kena beli pink ke biru, kan?" - angguk lagi
Dr: "Nak start cari nama untuk baby eh?" - anguk angguk angguk.
Dr: "Hmm tak sure la bleh nampak ke tidak, selalunya kalau cakap nak tengok, baby tak bagi nampak.. bila diam2 je kata tak nak tengok, baru baby tunjuk... "
Dr: "Saya teka.... pompuan. Jom kiter tengok..."

Doktor letak je probe tu kat pusat... trus nampak tulang kaki dia. Antara 2 tulang kaki tu, nampak dah....
Dr: "Kompom pompuan !! Tu tengok, 3 line. Kalau lelaki, dah lama nampak tergantung2.."
Dr: "OK, dah... dah bleh gi beli gaun comel2 dah... Pompuan banyak sket baju cantik2 boleh pilih.."

Lepas abis scan, semuanya looks fine, soklan dah terjawab.. doctor pun bagi image di atas sebagai kenangan. Untuk makluman, imej di atas ialah imej ukuran kepala dan tulang femur, bukan sebarang imej lucah, OK.

So sekarang, next step is - SHOPPING !!!

Week 28 - Super tired..

How's My Baby?

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can open and close her eyes, which now sport lashes. This movement is more of a reflexive blink than a deliberate opening and closing, but it won't be long before she's batting those beauties at you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minggu ni berat dah cecah 57kg. Terasa jugak berat nak bawak badan sendiri ke hulu ke hilir. Kaki ok lagi, takde tanda2 nak bengkak. Baby dalam nih makin lasak, or perutku yang makin sempit? Setiap kali dia bergerak, WOW... kekadang geli, kekadang sakit jugak dibuatnya.

Sabtu lepas call doctor Klinik Family SS tuh, nak buat appointment nak scan ultrasound la kunun. Sekali doktor tu kata mesin ultrasound nya gi hantar repair, blom balik2 lagik.

Week 27 - A super busy week for superMom

Fetal Development:

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

How's Mom doing:

The second trimester is drawing to a close, but as your body gears up for the final lap, you may start noticing some new symptoms. Along with an aching back, for example, you may find that your leg muscles cramp up now and then. They're carrying extra weight, after all, and your expanding uterus is putting pressure on the veins that return blood from your legs to your heart as well as on the nerves leading from your trunk to your legs. Unfortunately, the cramps may get worse as your pregnancy progresses. Leg cramps are more common at night but can also happen during the day. When a cramp strikes, stretching the calf muscle should give you some relief. Straighten your leg and then gently flex your toes back toward your shin. Walking for a few minutes or massaging your calf sometimes helps, too.

Week 26 - Eye see you !!!

Fetal development in pregnancy week 26:
fetus in sixth month
At long last, your little swimmer can see the womb! Your miracle’s little eyelids have finally separated (they were fused closed previously) and they’re probably having their first moments of sight as you read this (or maybe it already happened while you were brushing your teeth or watching Oprah or something). In addition to seeing their little studio in your belly, they’ve recently acquired the ability to say “yes” and “no” in rudimentary sign language as they can now move their head back and forth. This is also the time where your little super star’s head hair is starting to grow! A cute little cowlick or two may be springing into position right now, getting ready for years of cute-but-stubborn bed-head. Also, their toenails have grown in and you little raisin continues to slowly pile up fat beneath their still-loose skin. Most importantly, brain tissue and neurons are all developing at a rapid pace, increasing their (genius-level?) brain activity and will continue to function at accelerated levels for the first seven to eight years of childhood!
